Remember Me?

Sun Oct 11, 2009, 7:56 PM
  • Mood: Artistic
  • Listening to: TV. It's background noise.
  • Reading: what I'm typing
  • Watching: YOU. Scary, huh?
  • Eating: Air
  • Drinking: Water
I'm back! My son has a laptop and I can get online! Whee! Went to the pumpkin patch with a couple of my grandbabies and took some pictures. It's been a while. Didn't want to take pictures because I couldn't take them off the card afterwards.

Feels good. Real good!

Hope everybody is doing well!

Recycle Yourself!

When Jamie died suddenly in 2000, we didn't hesitate to sign papers for her organs and tissues to be donated. She had a rare blood type (AB- ) and because of that only had one organ donation. Her kidneys went to a man in Hawaii that was dying of renal failure. He had been on the donor list for 4½ years. The same age that Jamie was when she passed! He sends Christmas cards every year, and every year we've received a teddy bear from him. He now lives in Japan and is happy and healthy and living his life to the fullest. Knowing that her death wasn't in vain... that by her passing, she was able to give the gift of life to another person... that is precious and invaluable to me. Her kidney recipient lives in Japan now. His name is Hiro. And I wish him many more years of a healthy and happy life.
